Burner Short Cycling / No Amber Light

  • Incorrect Polarity
  • Improper Ground
  • Bad Wire and/or Connection Between Remote Flame Sensor and IFC Board
  • Bad Flame Sensor
  • No Remote Flame Sensor
  • Flame Sensor Not Connected to Pin #7 of IFC
  • Vent Pressure Switch Opening During Ignition
  • Thermostat Short Cycling Unit
  • Thermostat Conflict (Electronic Thermostat)
  • Wiring Harness Reversed
  • Bad IFC Control

Note: On 80% furnaces produces prior to 3394 date code did not have direct flame sense. When the IFC is replaced, the flame sense must be installed and wired according to instructions. Failure to install and properly wire the flame sensor will result in no flame sensing and burner shut down.
