A203_A: Float Switch Trip - Air Handler Aux In 2
Status
This is a critical fault. Cooling operations will shut down to prevent additional condensation in the drain pan or line.
Description
The Aux 2 circuit has been wired and configured to monitor a float switch, in a condensate pump, auxiliary pan, or trap switch, and the switch or switches have tripped.
Cause
1. Condensate trap is plugged or otherwise not draining properly.
2. Water has overflowed into the auxiliary pan.
3. Field supplied and installed condensate pump has failed or has become obstructed tripping switch in condensate pump.
4. Switch was improperly configured in EcoNet Thermostat.
Solution
1. Blow out drain, ensure proper trap and slope are used.
2. Water has escaped air handler drain pan into auxiliary pan. - Check for blockage in drain or frozen coil, check that trap is deep enough to prevent proper drainage.
3. Repair condensate pump, or line, or replace as necessary.
4. Properly wire switch into air handler aux 2 wires and configure float switch in EcoNet Thermostat.
