A963_O: Inverter Fault - AC Input Undervoltage

EcoNet - A963_O ยป

Description

The input voltage to the drive has been detected to be below the specified minimum input voltage.

Expected Operation

Shutdown, restart upon clearing.

Cause

1. Input power has been detected to be below the minimum specified voltage.

2. A failed compressor drive.

Solution

This fault indicates that the incoming power is below the minimum allowable voltage or 197 volts to start or 187 volts while running. Check incoming voltage at main lugs and at drive input terminals.

The proper measurement is from L1 to L2.

The voltage between L1 and L2 needs to be between 187 VAC and 253 VAC. In the event the voltage is less than 187 VAC, Check for loose connections between the breaker and disconnect, between the disconnect and incoming power terminal block, to and terminal block to drive.  If voltage is low with unit off, find problem in incoming power. If voltage drops when compressor starts, verify wire size and connections at each point from breaker to drive and resolve any loose or burnt connections.

Check voltage to other appliances to verify it is not a central power issue.

If incoming voltage is acceptable at drive input, replace drive.
