The Drive has not detected current when switching from inverter to line on mid-tier inverter products.
Expected Operation
Unit will make 3 attempts to switch to line voltage when commanded to high. If this happens 3 times, unit will lockout.
Cause
1. Wiring to Contactor disconnected, mis-wired or otherwise damaged
2. Contactor coil is defective or open.
3. Compressor drive has failed.
4. Is Compressor first running on drive?
Solution
1. Repair wiring
2. Replace contactor. Be sure to use sealed double pole contactor, Single pole contactor will not function correctly.
3. Replace Drive
4. if compressor isn’t first running on the drive before attempting to shift to the contactor, check compressor windings. C-R, C-S, R-S. R-S should be close to equaling the sum of C-R and C-S.
