Status
Unit will shutdown after 3 attempts at normal operation.
Description
The PFC (Power Factor Correction) Module is pulling too much current
Expected Operation
Unit will Shutdown and will restart. If this occurs 3 times in one call, unit will lockout and full reset will be required.
Cause
1. Excessive load/temperature/duration.
2. Failed compressor or compressor drive.
Solution
1. Check all wiring to the controller for visible signs of unconnected wires or missing insulation and etc.
2. Check compressor and fan motor winding resistance. Make sure no windings are shorted or open.
3. If compressor and fan motor windings are within tolerance, replace inverter drive controller.
