T081_A - Return Air Sensor Fault
Status
This is a passive alarm, the air handler will operate normally with this alarm.
Description
This fault indicates the return air sensor, which is integrated in the control, is open or shorted.
Expected Operation
The fault "T081_F Return Air Sensor Fault" will be declared but the furnace will continue to operate.
Cause
Bad Air Handler Control
Solution
Technician should replace Return Air Sensor.
Reinstall Return Air Sensor, or cycle complete power to system and allow it to relearn there is no sensor.
Cycle power to system to allow it to relearn that no sensor is installed after verifying control board is dry.
Determine cause of condensation on control board. Low air flow, Water blowing off coil.
If problem persists, replace Air Handler control.
