Description
The stator heat inside the compressor should only pull a maximum of 40 watts. This fault suggests it is pulling too much current.
Expected Operation
Unit should operate normally without stator heat in the off cycle.
Cause
1. Damaged windings in compressor.
2. Defective Inverter Drive
Solution
1. Check windings in compressor relative to each other and to ground. If compressor is shorted leg to leg or to ground, replace compressor.
2. If compressor is OK, replace inverter drive.
