Description
The compressor drive has detected high amperage on the input circuit.
Expected Operation
If fault occurs 3 times in one call, unit will lockout and require manual reset.
Cause
1. Excessive load/temperature/duration.
2. A failed compressor or compressor drive.
Solution
1. Check all wiring to contactor, compressor and capacitor. Correct wiring errors, if present.
2. Check run/start capacitor. Replace, if necessary.
3. Check compressor winding resistance relative to ground to see if compressor winding(s) have very high resistance to ground or are completely open relative to ground. If high resistance or open circuit, replace compressor.
4. If compressor windings OK, replace compressor drive controller.
