A010_Z to A014_Z: Zone 2-6 Control Comm Error
Status
This is a critical fault.
Description
The EcoNet zoning system has detected that there is difficulty communicating with the zone control.
A010_Z refers to Zone 2 Control
A011_Z refers to Zone 3 Control
A012_Z refers to Zone 4 Control
A013_Z refers to Zone 5 Control
A014_Z refers to Zone 6 Control
Cause
If this is a new system and there are more than 2 zones, you will most likely get this alarm at system power up. This is because zone controllers all have a zone ID set to zone 2. The system has detected more than one zone control with the same address or Zone ID.
It may also mean that there are duplicate Zone ID's in the system or one has been accidentally set as a duplicate.
It could be that a zone was configured and has since disappeared. An example would be a zone control was set to a zone ID and it changed and that zone is no longer present.
Each zone control must be in the correct space, and must have a unique Zone ID (Not to be confused with zone name). It must also be properly wired into the EcoNet Bus.
Solution
Check Zone Controllers to make sure all zones are addressed as unique zone ID's. If you see two zone controls with the same ID, one of them must be changed to an alternate unique one.
Check wiring between zone controller and where it ties into the EcoNet bus. Be sure R is to R, C is to C, E1 is to E1 and E2 is to E2. Check for damaged wiring between the zone control and EcoNet bus. Repair as required.
If a zone was accidentally programmed and that zone ID is no longer going to be used. You will have to do a full Reset of the master control. To do this, Go to Master control. Enter Settings, Go into Installer Settings, select Thermostat and reset to defaults. Keep in mind all settings in the thermostat will have to be reprogrammed when this happens.
