A925_O: Compressor Model Unknown

EcoNet - A925_O »

VSODC - 16 »

Drive - 22 Yellow »

On the VSODC, this fault would be displayed on the seven-segment LED as a number 16. A 16 displayed is one of several inverter faults. You will need to validate this fault at the EcoNet Thermostat or by looking at the red or yellow flashing LED's in the upper right quadrant of the drive itself

The Drive LED's will be flashing the Yellow LED 22 times.

This fault will occur if someone has put the incorrect model data card in to the VSODC or it has become corrupt. If the card has become corrupt, it may not present itself until a power cycle.

The compressor model data card includes information about what drive and compressor are expected in the unit. If the model data card were expecting to see, for instance a compressor code of 511, and it reads the drive combination as a 301, it will trigger this fault.

In 2017, there was an update to drives to allow some small enhancements. In order to take advantage of these enhancements the model data cards were also updated. If someone were to take an older drive and attempt to put it in a unit built after W5017, they may get this fault because the new model data card is referencing something that doesn't exist in the drive itself.

Likewise, if someone were to use a model data card for units built after date code W5017 in an older unit with it's original drive, they would see this fault. Capture the model and serial number from the unit itself, along with the drive date code and return that information to your Distributor Service Coordinator for assistance.
