A004_S: Static Pressure High (greater than 1 in.)
Status
This is a non-critical alert. The system will continue to operate, however it could lead to a blower cutback fault if not addressed at some point.
Description
During the start up of the system a filter check is performed. If during the filter check exercise, the static is high (above 1") this alert will be displayed. Filter change reminders will not occur based on static until the static is reduced to a lower point. The customer will need to use the filter change timer in the service screen.
Once acknowledged, alert should not return unless the thermostat defaults are reset in the installer service menu or thermostat is replaced as one time fault would be clear on a new thermostat.
Cause
1. Dirty or overly restrictive Filter in system when thermostat was installed or reset to defaults.
2. Duct work too small for system or choked somewhere.
3. Closed or blocked registers or grilles.
Solution
1. Replace filter
2. Make appropriate changes or corrections to duct system.
3. Open or unblock registers or grilles.
