Description
Current differential between phases of the compressor is greater than the threshold allows.
Expected Operation
Unit will shut down and attempt to restart. If this occurs 3 times in a call, unit will go into Lockout.
Cause
1.Wiring to compressor from drive or contactor is damaged or incorrect.
2.Compressor Windings may have high resistance to ground.
3. Capacitor on mid-tier inverter defective
4. Drive Defective
Solution
1. Correct Wiring to compressor,
2. If compressor has high resistance to ground (not a direct short), replace compressor
3. If Capacitor measured microfarad value is not within 10% or rated value, replace capacitor.
4. Replace the Drive
