A004_C: Air Source Not Detected
Status
This is a critical alarm. Nothing will run until this is resolved.
Description
The indoor air mover (either furnace or air handler) was not found when the thermostat was powered up.
Cause
1. Thermostat Communication wires not wired correctly. (Such as being reversed or accidentally put into S1 and S2 instead of E1 and E2.)May also not be making good contact in the wire press terminals.
2. Wrong wire colors selected at one end or the other.
3. Damaged Thermostat wiring between air handler and thermostat.
4. Defective subbase or damaged pins on back of thermostat.
5. Air Handler Firmware outdated.
6. Attempting to install EcoNet thermostat on CC2 furnace or Air Handler.
Solution
1. Check and correct wiring.
2. Check and correct wiring.
3. Check and correct wiring.
4. Inspect the back of the thermostat and look closely at the tiny pins. Are any of them bent to where they wont fit in the socket on the subbase? If so Correct. If Not, try another subbase.
5. Install updated Air Handler Control Board (Does not apply to furnaces).
6. Install either proper thermostat for CC2 Products, or install EcoNet enabled Equipment.
