Description
Compressor is pulling too much current when running on contactor line voltage
Expected Operation
System will shut down and restart. If fault occurs 3 times in one call, unit will lockout and require manual reset.
Cause
1. Defective Capacitor
2. Damaged or Incorrect Wiring
3. Compressor grounded or shorted leg to leg.
4. Damaged or defective Inverter Drive.
Solution
1. Replace Capacitor if microfarad readings are more than 10% apart from rated value.
2. Repair any Damaged or improperly wired circuits.
3. If compressor is showing shorted or grounded windings, replace compressor.
4. If all above is correct, replace drive.
