A034_F: IDM Overcurrent
Status
This is a critical fault. The furnace will not operate gas heat mode, but all other modes (e.g. cooling) should function. Furnace will enter a 1 hour lockout.
Description
This fault indicates the inducer has experienced high current, likely caused by something preventing the inducer from turning either in the motor, or in the inducer housing.
Expected Operation
The fault is displayed when too much current is detected on the inducer circuit.
Cause
1. Something is preventing inducer wheel from turning.
2. Bad inducer motor.
Solution
1. Remove inducer housing and inspect to see if something is blocking wheel from turning. Remove blockage.
2. Check motor for bearing wear or damage. Replace inducer assembly
