A002_S: Temperature Sensor Failure
Status
This is a critical alarm. The sensor in the thermostat, or remote sensor (if installed) is either shorted or open.
Description
The thermostat is equipped with an onboard thermistor to read the room temperature. Alternatively, a remote sensor may be used and it may be defective or not connected properly to the subbase.
Cause
1. Result of initial programming or re-programming before shipping to field. (Most Likely - and Easy to remedy).
2. Integrated temperature sensor on thermostat is corrupt.
Solution
1. Go to Menu >> Settings >> Installer >> Defaults and Reset the thermostat.
2. Replace the Thermostat (Only after attempting solution #1 above.)
