T984_O: Fan Locked Rotor Fault

EcoNet - T984_O ยป

Description

The compressor drive has detected a locked fan motor.

Expected Operation

If fault occurs 3 times in one call, unit will lockout and require manual reset.

Cause

1. Incorrect fan model data is loaded into the UODC controller.

2. The fan motor is disconnected or has wiring damage.

3. The fan motor is damaged (e.g. winding resistance is out of tolerance or bearing failure).

4. The compressor drive is damaged.

Solution

1. Using the EcoNet contractor app, reload model data to the unit. If a new fan or compressor has been added, be sure to input the new part number as necessary.
2. Check wiring between fan motor and inverter drive. Make sure wires are connected and have no visible missing insulation and that connectors are fully seated to plug housing and plug housing is fully seated to control. If necessary, replace wire assembly.
3. Check fan motor winding resistance. Replace fan motor if any windings are shorted to each other or to ground or if any winding has an open circuit.
4. If fan motor and wiring is OK, replace invert drive controller.
