Status

This is a critical alarm, the unit will not operate in any mode.

Description

This code is displayed anytime there is no model data at the in the outdoor control board or the model-specific data does not match the system. The model data is electronically stored data that is used to define (among other things) compressor operation. Without model data, the unit cannot function.

Expected Operation

No operation, including the thermostat will be permitted without the model data. The model data defines the unit operation. Without this information, the unit cannot operate.

Cause

Model data has been updated with the wrong file or is corrupted, a component has been changed which does not match the pre-existing model data, or model data was not loaded (for example into a replacement control).

Solution

1. Technician must have internet access either cellular or Wi-Fi.

2. Technician should access the unit with the contractor app and in the service tab, select "Bluetooth Service and Repair"  icon. 

3.The app will ask what product do you want to connect to? DO NOT Select the unit(s) that show up. SELECT "I do not see my product"  and when the dialog box opens, choose "Enter Manually"

4. Technician may either scan the QR code in the control box or enter the serial number manually (preferred). Be sure to double check serial number before clicking continue.

5. Technician may be asked to enter the outdoor fan motor.  Look through the grill and find the part number on the fan motor. In vertical cube units, the motor part number will generally start with 51-

6.Follow prompts although for this fault you may just click through the power cycle and replace board instructions.

7.A dialog box will pop up that says replacement boards do not have serial numbers. Click Dismiss

8. Allow the countdown timer to run its course.

9. Your unit should appear in the next box. If no unit appears WAIT until it does. This could be an additional 30 seconds or so. 

10. Select the unit and allow the app to download updated model data.
