T965_O: Inverter Fault - PFC Over-temp

Status

If the PFC temperature is too high, it will shut down the system in an attempt to cool down drive.

Description

PFC (Power Factor Correction Module) temperature is high and unit is shutting down to prevent damage to the drive.

Expected Operation

Unit will shut down and attempt to restart once the drive cools. If it trips 3 times in one call, unit will lockout

Cause

1. Condenser dirty.

2. Heat Sink on back of drive is dirty.

3. Outdoor fan running too slow.

4. Heat transfer paste within drive is not allowing heat to be rejected by heat sink.

Solution

1. Clean condenser coil

2. Clean back of drive where heat sink is.

3. Resolve slow outdoor fan.

4. Replace Drive.
