A221_A: Heat Pump Lockout - Aux Input 2
Status
This fault indicates the field installed switch of some sort has tripped or was not set up correctly in the EcoNet Thermostat air handler installer settings.
Description
This alarm indicates the auxiliary switch in the air handler is open when it should be normally closed, or closed when it should be normally open.
Expected Operation
If an accessory switch is used, it needs to have been properly wired into the air handler Aux C (blue wire with an orange stripe) and Aux 2 (gray wire) circuit and configured in the EcoNet Thermostat. This fault will shut down any call for heat pump because the switch is closed if configured for Normally Open (NO) or has opened if set to Normally Closed (NC),
Cause
1. External has opened when it is configured for normally closed, or closed when configured as normally open.
2. Setting was improperly configured in EcoNet thermostat.
Solution
1. Correct whatever changed the state of the external circuit.
2. Configure Aux 2 contact in EcoNet Thermostat, Settings, Installer, Air Handler properly.
