Status
If this fault occurs 3 times, unit will lockout until a hard reset is performed by cycling power off to outdoor and indoor unit for 3 minutes and issue has been resolved.
Description
Drive is detecting excess current on the W phase.
Expected Operation
No operation.
Cause
Most likely cause is a failed compressor. A less likely cause is a failed compressor drive.
Solution
Check compressor windings for open or shorted windings. Replace if necessary. Check plug harness between drive and compressor for visible damage and verify it is seated correctly in drive and at compressor. If compressor and harness are within tolerance, replace the inverter drive.
