A104_A: ECM Blower Motor Run Fault
Status
This is a critical alarm, the Air Handler will not operate in any mode.
Description
Blower motor or module failure.
Cause
1. Defective or damaged blower motor module.
2. Defective blower motor.
3. Damaged or Corroded wiring to motor
Solution
1. Check motor module with motor tester. If motor runs with tester, inspect wiring harness to blower from control board. If motor does not run on tester, replace module. Check motor windings and bearings so a new module does not go on a defective motor.
2. Motor locked up or defective. Check motor windings and bearings. If they are OK, replace module only.
3. Check and clean low voltage harness from control board to ECM motor module using proper electrical contact cleaner.
