T936_O: Fan Fault W-Phase Over Current

EcoNet - T936_O ยป

Status

Shutdown after 3 attempts, will restart when cleared and resolved

Description

The outdoor fan is experiencing an over-current on phase W.

Expected Operation

System will shutdown if running and will try again. If it happens 3 times, the unit will lockout requiring a manual reset.

Cause

1. Incorrect fan model data is loaded into the UODC controller.

2. Gan motor is disconnected or has wiring damage.

3. Fan motor is damaged (e.g. winding resistance is out of tolerance or bearing failure).

4. Compressor drive is damaged.

Solution

1. Check wiring between fan motor and inverter drive. Make sure wires are connected and have no visible missing insulation and that connectors are fully seated to plug housing and plug housing is fully seated to control. If necessary, replace wire assembly.

2. If wiring OK, measure winding resistance on fan motor and make sure no windings are shorted to ground or have an open circuit. If windings are bad, replace motor.

3. If fan motor and wiring is OK, replace drive.
